Glitchers is an award winning ‘games for good’ studio that aims to create engaging games & impactful digital products that champion worthwhile causes through the power of creative game thinking.
As a studio with a brand new objective of working on “for good” only projects, the company needed a holistic approach, a new refreshed brand and a brand new website to better communicate their purpose.

Glitchers needed a brand identity refresh. They required help uncovering and formulating their new brand values in this fresh chapter for the business and help translating them into a new brand strategy and brand identity for a games and gamified product studio that now solely focuses on “for good” projects.

Diving deep into the foundations of the company, its history and uncovering a new brand story, values and voice.

Lead Designer.
Led a discovery workshop with founder and key stakeholder, identifying what the brand is and isn’t and helping bring clarity to the company direction.I then developed a brand strategy, which the company never had before, analysing competitors, creating target audience personas and developing their tone of voice and values that later inform the design.
Led the brand refresh and designed a brand new portfolio website for the company using a code free website builder platform as well as created a new showreel for the company, designed business cards, presentations, pitches and other brand applications.

Insights
Through research and brand strategy it was clear that Glitchers needed to better communicate their creative flare, bold personality and unique approach to gaming product design in order to cut through the noise and stand out from competition.
Brand Strategy
Working with key stakeholders, I helped establish a new brand strategy and identify key insights into the new brand direction while performing market research and developing brand personas in order to better tailor design outcomes to the intended audiences.
The colour palette for this brand was designed in collaboration with Glitchers founder, who is colour blind. As such the colour palette works well with all colour blindness types, retaining good contrast and differentiation between elements.
Logo Design
Opting for to refresh the logo instead of a complete redesign in order to preserve the 10 year heritage of the brand, I strategically rounded off certain corners of the brand in order to make it look more friendly and approachable, while enhancing the 3D look.
Subsequently a custom name logo lockup was designed with modification to typography that enhace the openness and friendliness of the brand while still keeping in line with the cool and bold personality of the brand.
Creative Direction
Brand application is as bold and fun as the projects Glitchers collaborates on, with a unapologetic look & feel that aims to marry gaming with product design, as Glitchers sits somewhere in the middle, creating more than digital products and more that just entertaining games.
Branding Guidelines
Out of the core brand identity design, extensive branding guidelines were developed to cover logo use, brand strategy, design systems, typography, illustration, 3D and more.
Design Application
The brand extended to a new company portfolio website, business cards, presentation design overhaul, social media design and in-office graphics such as entrance plaque and wall graphics.
